1. Majnu Ka Tila

Well, this place will give you a Tibetan vibe and hence is one of the best places to visit in Delhi. Majnu ka Tila has been the house of refugees from Tibet who followed the great Dalai Lama during his exile.  

Well, if you notice, the name reminds us of Laila-Majnu but this colony is named after the local Iranian Sufi mystic, Abdulla who was popularly called Majnu. He was an ardent devotee of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. He converted his khanqah into Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s shrine and now Gurudwara Majnu ka Tila is a famous gurudwara with historical importance.  

It’s an amazing place to shop for some traditional stuff and to try out new dishes in the Tibetan restaurants.  

2. Mirza Galib Ki Haveli 

Mirza Galib is a famous name among poets. This Urdu poet, Mirza Asadullah Baig khan lived in this haveli during his difficult time. Today this haveli is not just a vintage place but also an amazing museum displaying early works of Mirza Galib. And as it is located near Chandni Chowk, you get hundreds of options to shop from! 

Tip: Avoid visiting during summer afternoon especially mid-May to August end. 

3. Bhuli Bhatiyari Ka Mahal

Are you interested in real paranormal incidences and horror stories, then this place for you. Though it is famous for archaeological structures, many tourists say that they experienced some paranormal activities especially after sunset.  

The place that was originally built as the hunting lodge for Firoz Shah Tughlaq, rest is history as they say.
