Firstly talking about Hrithik’s look, for the first time the fans are going to see him in a raw villain avatar.Donning black shirt and sturdy sun glasses and blood shed chest, his gangta appearance as vedha surely grabs the attention. One cannot draw a comparison to the original portrayed by Vijay sethupati.

Coming to Saif’s look, mhe would be seen as a tough cop Vikram and his looks are appealing and puts his best foot forward.
The other characters in the movie are Radhika Apte ( Priya ) who plays Vikram’s better half , Sharib Hashmi (Babloo), as expected, gives a memorable performance. Rohit Saraf has a late entry but leaves a mark. Ishan Tripathi (young Shatak) and Drashti Bhanushali (young Chanda) deliver their best.

The plot :

An action packed thriller based on our Indian folk tale Betaal Pacchisi, the story revolves round Vikram ( special task force officer) and Vedha ( gangster) and how their meet turns the later perception on the good and the evil. Vikram is an honest police officer of Lucknow police under a special task, who is on a mission to eliminate the gangster Vedha.

. The film has been conceptualized well with Vikram Vedha parts written with finer detailing. The plot eventually tilts towards Vedha’s character, which has been performed excellently by Hrithik. He’s menacing, ruthless and yet, extremely emotional in the character . He imbibes the vibe of the character really well.
Saif as an honest cop, perfectly compliments Hrithik on screen. He embraces the character’s inner strengths, vulnerabilities and depicts the gradual change in his role. Yes, one would have loved to see a little more of Saif in the story.

Though the proceeding feels lagged at times ,the movie stays true to its world with the track of the story’s movement and the characters. Coming to the action scenes, they have been choreographed  and  projected well.
While Manoj Muntashir and B A Fida’s dialogues pack a punch, Pushkar–Gayatri’s direction is marvellous .They had also directed the original Tamil 2017 film of the same name and plot. The story has been effortlessly setup in Lucknow with the grey shade of the characters.

conclusion : An action packed massy affair, worth your money.
