Shadowhunters Review

The Moral Cup search is the focus of Shadowhunters. On the occasion of Clary’s [Katherine McMara] 18th birthday, she unintentionally learns she is a Shadowhunter. From here, the show takes you on a quest for a cup, changing”Mundanes” (Normal people) into Shadowhunters. They make them devoted to whoever turned them and give them the upper hand over the demons.

After the cup is found, the responsibility is to watch over it. The cup is housed in the institute, where a conflict between the current shadow hunters and Valentine, a former shadow hunter takes place.

Another storyline concerns Clary’s mother Jocelyn, who has been “on ice” for 12 episodes of the season. They need to rouse her up, and Clary also has to learn the truth about her ancestry. Clary is seeking the answers to questions that only her mother can provide as she has been lied to for her whole life and has lost any sense of self.
