It clocked 10 years of Student of the Year and along with this, it also marked a decade of its star cast, Alia Bhatt, Sidharth Malhotra, and Varun Dhawan, in showbiz.
To commemorate the celebration, the star cast along with the director Karan Johar shared memories from the film.
Sharing a sun-kissed picture, Alia wrote “10 years today…and I am so so grateful. EVERY SINGLE DAY!!!.. I promise to be better – dream deeper – work harder !!!!! thank you for the magic love love and only love.”
Following the suite Karan Johar shared a message – “Down the years with my students of every year! So proud of their cinema journey! It’s no Raaz(I) that they have mastered the ABCD of their craft and emerged as Shershaahs of goodness and talent! Love you! ❤ #10yearsofsoty.”
Besides Karan also shared a throwback video with a caption “Student of The Year, to me, is a celebration of everything I love about cinema…. The youth, the zest, the zing, the music, the energy, the comic timing…Everything I have ever loved about Hindi cinema is a part of Student of The Year. It’s very cliched to say that we are one happy family because we never really are because everyone is screaming and trying to get work done but this felt like I was an old student in high school.”
Varun Dhawan celebrated this milestone on the sets of his upcoming film “Bhediya” cast and crew.
Siddarth Malhotra shared his fond memories he had with the late Rishi Kapoor. In his statement he mentioned “Of course lovely fond memories. He was in my first film as well. He was part of the Student of the Year. If he was here, then we all will be celebrating 10 years.”
On professional front, Siddarth will be seen in comedy-drama featuring Rakul Preet Singh and Ajay Devgan in the lead. The film is slated to release on October 25.
Talking about Alia, is set to make her Hollywood debut in Heart of Stone alongside Gal Gadot and Jamie Dornan. The film is set to stream on Netflix in 2023.
